Hi everyone!!
Well we are here in our new home in Hiroshima!! What a crazy few days we've had. We left for Tokyo Saturday and got here Sunday evening. Unfortunately I (callie) was sick the whole first night and day. I managed to make it to the meetings but would then go straight up to the hotel room to sleep and throw up (sorry if that's too much information). Phil had a great time exploring around the hotel and eating at different restaurants and babying me :( I guess the good thing about being sick though is that I think I've adjusted to Japan time pretty quickly and was able to get a lot more sleep than some other people. Okay so today was a big day! We left Tokyo around 7 am and flew to Hiroshima. Then we took a bus from the airport and arrived at Hiroshima Station around 1 pm. We were then met by two teachers from Numata High School (my base school) and they took us to our apartment. They were so nice and helpful! They drove us to our nearest grocery store (which is totally within walking distance). Our apartment by the way is great! I will try to post some pictures tomorrow. It is really good sized and has just about everything we need except curtains (right now we're using sheets). So the two ladies left and we found out we have a wireless connection so here I am updating our blog! We are both feeling really excited and comfortable. We should get to unpacking though!!
